Oklahoma is three quarters prairie grassland and one quarter forest. For a motorist, this means that there are long flat open rides aplenty. Elevations too change – in the southeast corner of the state you will be driving at just 800 feet above sea level and as you move west into the panhandle, you will go up to an elevation of 5,000 feet. With 200 lakes and 4 mountain ranges, Oklahoma has a lot to offer drivers.

If you want to drive in the state of Oklahoma and you do not have a license, you will have to get a Oklahoma Learners Permit. You must be at least 16 years old to take the test. You must also be a Oklahoma Resident or a resident of another State enrolled in an Oklahoma Driver Education & Training.
